MCGUIRE REQUESTS INVESTIGATION OF OVERSEAS MILITARY ABSENTEE BALLOT SYSTEM
Phoenix – Today General McGuire made a formal request of Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich and the Department of Justice to investigate the overseas military absentee ballot system.
General McGuire said “In 2016, there were 6,180 overseas military absentee ballots submitted in Maricopa County. In 2020, 10,396 ballots were submitted. That is a 68% increase. During that time, I was serving as the commanding general of the Arizona National Guard, and there was an 11% decrease in overseas deployments. In addition, 95% of those 2020 ballots were cast for Joe Biden.
Such aberrant numbers demand an inquiry. I believe those facts provide reasonable suspicion that is enough for the Attorney General to open a criminal investigation. It’s time for action, not more excuses.”
